Final weekend of regular season

The final weekend of regular season action is upon us, seems like yesterday we were opening up the season at Providence.  The playoff seedings are still up in the air for slots 1-6, with UMass and Maine occupying the 7th and 8th playoff spots.  Lowell and BC are fighting for the 5th and 6th spots, UNH and Vermont will settle the 3rd and 4th seeds this weekend, and BU and us for 1 and 2.  BU has a home and home with Providence while we close out with a home and home vs BC.  If you go back to last season we were also playing BC in a home and home situation for home ice in the first round of the playoffs, losing out in the last game of the year.

As a team we are excited for the weekend and the opportunity it presents us.  Boston College, while they have had their ups and downs this season, are still Boston College and possess some of the most talented forwards in the league with Brock Bradford leading the way.  It is going to be a hard fought series.  We have put ourselves in position to control our own destiny when it comes to winning Hockey East, and that is all you can ask for going into the final weekend.  Now it’s time to go out and play the games.  It is senior night tomorrow night at Matthews.  Our seniors have endured a lot in their four years here, winning 3 games the first year to battling for first place so it has come full circle for them.  Hopefully the students will venture back early from spring break to Matthews for this one, it would be great to have a rocking Matthews crowd for such a big game.

I had a question regarding my helmet and what went in to my decisions with that and I will write about that probably after the weekend is over, but I also want to say if anyone else has any questions or want to know something in particular about things I do or playing hockey feel free to ask.

Also good luck to the basketball team this weekend as they compete in the CAA tournament looking for a chance to dance in March Madness.

  1. With the success of several teams from Hockey East, do you think that Hockey East is the toughest NCAA Hockey Conference? Also, what do you think the Huskies chances are of earning a berth in the NCAA Tournament?

  2. Good luck this weekend Brad and the Huskies. Do us all proud and leave it all out on the ice. You’ve done it all season and we all know you have what it takes to grab that HE Regular Season trophy.

    One game at a time…

    Hey Brad,

When you talk about your helmet, can you also tell us why you decided to switch up the paint job? You had a pretty sweet helmet the first two years but this one is sick.
