Well the weekend is rapidly approaching and the much anticipated home and home series vs BU is almost upon us.  It doesn’t take much to get excited about a series with the cross-town terriers, but with the two teams battling for first place it adds a little extra to this weekend.  The fans seem to be excited as well as saturday’s game at Matthews is sold out already and I can’t imagine many empty seats at Agganis on friday night.  Some Husky fans will try and state the fact that we are playing our rivals this weekend, however in my books a rivalry is only a true rivalry if both teams/fans feel the same.  Redsox Yankees, Celtics Lakers, Maple Leafs Canadians are true rivalries as both teams and fans have an equal dislike for each other.  If you were to ask a BU fan or player who their rival is, my guess is the answer is going to be Boston College.  That does not mean that there will be no love loss this weekend between the two teams, it’s not a true rivalry.  Should be a fun weekend and I’ll have be back after the games to let you know what it’s like from the player’s view.
